I decided to use markers to make my arrangement then using the caps of the markers too. I tried to make a circle with the caps and then use the opposite color for the color to match with the cap.
During this time we are expected to stay inside in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, some preparation I have prepared are collecting gloves so we can't prevent contact with others and also collecting toilet paper because they began running low on stock in the stores. In one picture I show how everyone has started staying in the house by showing you a empty picture of streets and sidewalks. In the glove picture by making it the only white object in the picture I am trying to show the importance of the glove and show it is a needed thing for this pandemic. My idea behind my work was to show the current state of this outbreak and the ting you will need to keep safe during this time period. What I found successful is showing people how life is like at the moment and I learned that this is a crucial time to be staying home and being safe.
The sphere warm up was the most helpful because it showed me the levels of shading you could do with the shadows the whole picture in general. I was able to highlight important parts of the drawing with the levels of shading. I could dark to show the main shadow of the object and go light on the part where the sun was facing. The Pros for the pencil drawing was I was able to blend a lot easier while the Cons were the background was little harder to draw in the picture. For the Pen drawing the the Pros where the designs I used to emphasize the different colors and values in the drawing, and the Cons where I couldn't completely show the value of each pattern. While the Pros for the charcoal drawing was I could make really good textures with the charcoal and the Cons where I couldn't show the pattern or the texture in the fins.
When I was attempting to draw my brother I was trying to emphasize his key features and put extra detail in certain aspects. For example when I was drawing his eyes he has big bright eyes so I incorporated that into my portrait. The type of texture I used for the hair was a simple design with some hairs coming down to his forehead but other than that it flows nicely. The reason I chose my brother for this piece was because I think family is very important and I was trying to show the bond me and my brother have together. In this assignment was in order to draw a portrait knowing a person can help you with the drawing and I was happy I was able to show the key parts of the portrait.
The artist who inspires me the most is Paola Delfin who is Mexican street artist who uses paint to make her canvases masterpieces. She uses huge wall off sides of building as her canvas so she can catch lots of peoples attention. Which may help solve the cause the problem she is broadcasting, she fights for women rights and their voice to be heard. When she goes out to begin painting she does her research for the history of the city she is in. She does this to add more of a effect or connection to the people who view it. The reason I was drawn in my this artist is because of her style and her canvases. I like how she draws people in black, grey, and white which in my opinion are really cool colors to draw people in.
